On Demand collects a 10% platform fee on all contracts completed through the platform. This is deducted automatically at the time of payout. What does the 10% platform fee cover and when is it charged?

The 10% platform fee is collected automatically when a contract payment is released. If an employer pays $500 for a completed project, the talent receives $450 and On Demand retains $50. There is nothing to calculate, no invoices to file, and no manual steps. The fee funds our payment infrastructure, dispute resolution team, platform security, and ongoing development. It is how we keep the quality high for everyone on both sides of every transaction.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time directly from your account settings. There are no cancellation fees and no contracts to break. Your access continues through the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to a limited free profile. Your profile, reviews, and earned badges remain on file so you can reactivate whenever you are ready.
How does annual billing work and what do I save?

When you choose annual billing, you pay for 10 months and get 12. That is effectively 2 months free. Talent Pro annual is $280 instead of $336. Employer Plan annual is $980 instead of $1,176. On Demand Pro annual is $480 instead of $576. The full amount is billed once at the start of your year. If you need to cancel mid-year, we issue a prorated refund for remaining unused months.
Do I need a subscription to browse the platform?

Employers can browse talent profiles without a subscription, but you will need an Employer Plan to post jobs, message candidates, or initiate contracts. Talent can create a basic profile for free, but a Talent Pro or On Demand Pro subscription is required to bid on jobs and unlock full profile features. Think of the free profile as your placeholder while you decide. The subscription is what activates your earning potential.
Is my payment information secure?

All payment processing on On Demand is handled by Stripe, one of the most trusted payment platforms in the world. We never store your credit card details on our servers. Stripe handles everything with bank-level encryption and full PCI compliance. Talent payouts are delivered securely through Stripe Connect directly to your bank account or debit card.
What happens if there is a dispute with a contract?

Contracts on On Demand are structured with agreed-upon milestones, which means both parties sign off on what success looks like before work begins. If a dispute arises, our support team reviews the contract terms, communication history, and deliverables to reach a fair resolution. Payment is held securely until milestones are approved, which protects both the talent and the employer throughout the engagement.
